Under the supervision of an employee of a higher grade, the Public Works Hokey performs entry-level work with a focus on cleaning sidewalks and gutters.
Responsibilities
- Assigned to various districts to clean sidewalks and gutters of debris.
- May clean other public areas as requested.
- May be involved in Public Works Department operations in adverse weather conditions.
- Performs related work as required.
Minimum Entrance Qualifications
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to learn the use of tools and procedures necessary to perform assigned tasks.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
