Overview

This is a provisional appointment.

Under general supervision, the Police Clerk & Typist will be assigned to the Archives Unit of the Evidence & Supply Management Division.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Answering telephone inquiries.
  • Maintaining files and records; sorting and disseminating supplies.
  • Typing and data entry.
  • Performing related work as required.
  • The position requires the physical ability to lift and carry boxes containing records up and down stairs and ladders.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications

  • Applicants must have at least two (2) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, paid professional experience in administrative office work.
  • It is strongly preferred that all applicants have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Applicant must have the ability to exercise good judgment and be able to focus on details as required by the job.

A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST IS REQUIRED
