Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is thrilled to announce the opening of our new clinic in Astoria, OR in December 2025! This new site will significantly enhance the health and well-being of our community by expanding our behavioral health services, including mental health therapy, and introducing new dental and pharmacy service lines, including a convenient drive-through pharmacy.

Position Highlights:

  • $191k-$227k annual base compensation DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
  • 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform all essential pharmacist functions
  • Oversee pharmacists and support staff per their utilization plan
  • Coach, mentor, and train staff. Manage performance and provide feedback
  • Recruit and select staff. Provide orientation on job requirements, policies, and tools
  • Develop and implement annual work plans. Monitor budget
  • Report medication incidents to QA. Communicate and implement QA findings
  • Ensure pharmacy practice meets legal and professional standards
  • Manage inventory and conduct periodic inspections
  • Monitor cash handling and third-party payments
  • Provide in-service training for pharmacy and clinic personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Performs clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and YVFWC requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
  • Current Oregon State Pharmacist License
  • Two years’ experience working with ordering, inventory, and cost management activities
  • One year’s experience supervising a team in a clinical environment
  • PGY-1 & PGY-2 residencies are equivalent to work experience

Drug testing: This position requires testing for controlled substances before employment and will be subject to further testing throughout employment.
