This position will provide technical and administrative support services for the Office of Administrative Hearings human resources unit. This position will provide human resource support in the areas of: HR transaction processing and reporting; benefits and insurance administration; Designated Department Insurance Representative (DDIR); retirement; purchase coordinator; special event planning; limited contract administration/interpretation/support services; FMLA and other leave coordination. This position will carry out special projects as required and perform other duties as assigned. This is a hybrid telework position. OAH requires all employees to work in the office 4 days per pay period. This will typically require an incumbent in this position to be in the office 2 days per week.
Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of technical human resources (HR) experience that includes the following:
- Processing employee transactions and data (e.g. employee hires, rehires, salary increases, leave of absences, separations, FMLA, etc.) in an HR data management system or electronic applicant system sufficient to maintain accurate records.
- Experience interpreting and applying collective bargaining agreements.
- Administering FMLA
- HR reporting sufficient to create, modify, and run electronic reports.
- Maintaining HR records such as personnel, hiring, training and medical files.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently by handling, prioritizing, and completing a variety and significant volume of HR data correctly and timely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using HR data management systems such as SEMA4 (Statewide Employee Management) or similar systems.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment law such as Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), worker’s compensation.
- Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws
Physical Requirements
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a small amount of force to occasionally to move and/or transport objects. A sedentary job is defined as one which involves being stationary (or sitting) most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if being active and moving from place to place is required only occasionally.

The Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) is an energetic, responsive, and respected service provider to Minnesotans, state and local governments, and the workers’ compensation system. OAH is the largest of three Executive Branch Courts with over sixty full-time equivalents located in St. Paul and Duluth.
