EvergreenHealth is looking for a Sonographer to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine - Perinatology team. The Sonographer I Performs primarily obstetrical ultrasound examinations while working collaboratively and under the direction of the perinatologists.

EvergreenHealth is looking for a Sonographer to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine - Perinatology team. The Sonographer I Performs primarily obstetrical ultrasound examinations while working collaboratively and under the direction of the perinatologists.
Primary Duties:
- Analyzes patient’s general body configuration to determine the most acceptable examination approach.
- Communicates to patient constantly, in lay language, on the status of the procedure, always maintaining patient's confidence.
- Assists with introduction or placement and application of various transducers.
- Performs basic and targeted obstetrical ultrasound examinations in all three trimesters, including transabdominal and transvaginal scanning.
- May provide portable examinations at bedside as requested by attending physicians.
- Promotes good public relations between patients, family members, hospital, and community by fostering a friendly, positive, encouraging, sympathetic atmosphere in the relationships between MFMP staff and patients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED for the position:
- ARDMS-eligible by date of hire, ARDMS-certified in appropriate categories by six months from date of hire.
- 1 year of experience in ultrasound setting
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
- Training specific to the operation of Ultrasound scanners and to performing Ultrasound scans.
- Course work in 3-D anatomy.
- 6 months experience in high risk OB ultrasound
