Compensation: Non-exempt, $36.01/HR-$56.75/HR

Job Summary
Under the professional guidance of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking diagnostic images following established procedures
- Assist radiologist with imaging procedures.
- Instructs patients regarding procedures. Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis. Observes patients for vital signs during examination.
- Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiology equipment; cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiological equipment. Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies.
- Evaluate images for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label. Film/transmit to PACS.
- Participates in training employees, residents and student technologists in equipment operation, patient movement, and quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors; documents according to established standards; communicates effectively.
- Develops and maintains professional and clinical skills. Completes all annual competency and education requirements within established parameters and timeframes. Participates in staff meetings, patient care meetings, educational in-services and other professional activities. Maintains awareness of policies and procedures and performance standards.
- Assist in the orientation and training to new Rad technologists.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education And Experience
- Completion of an accredited training program in radiologic technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Licenses, Certifications And/or Registrations
- Current active status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Washington State Certification in Radiologic Technology.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or within 180 days of hire.
