Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Public Works Foreman at Town of Leader in Leader, SK. The Public Works Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance and construction projects, managing a team of workers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining accurate records of work performed.
Special consideration will be given to those with training and experience in heavy equipment operation and those located or willing to relocated to Leader.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience operating heavy machinery and equipment
- Certification in water treatment and distribution - Level 1 & 2
- Certification in waste water treatment and collection - Level 1
- Certification in other relevant fields (e.g. WHIMIS, TDG, Confined spaces, Ground disturbance)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

The Town of Leader offers competitive wages in accordance with the salary scale in the Town of Leader/SEIU-West Collective Agreement. The successful candidate will be required to enroll in SEIU.
