POSITION TITLE: LOCAL BUILDING INSPECTOR – USW GR. 7
BUILDING DEPARTMENT
FULL-TIME (38 HOURS PER WEEK)
PAY: $1,186.89 TO $1,595.08 WEEKLY
Schedule Includes Half Day Fridays
Inspection and administrative work, enforcing and interpreting the Massachusetts Building Code, town zoning by law, and applicable codes relating to building construction and design; perform other related work, as required.
Inspects buildings under construction and upon completion; meets and confers with developers, builders, and general public regarding construction matters; five years’ experience in the supervision of building construction or design; or an associate’s degree in building construction or design or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have Mass. Construction Supervisor’s License; Mass. BBRS certified Local Inspector; valid Mass. motor vehicle operator’s license.
Salary/Benefits as per the USW LOCAL 9517 Collective Bargaining Agreement
