To provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing Ultrasound.
Education And Credentials
Responsibilities
Degree or certificate in Diagnostic Ultrasound from a certified Ultrasound Program required. Must become credentialed as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) within 3 years of hire/transfer and sit for first exam within 18 months of hire/transfer and successfully pass within 3 years of hire/transfer. Certification must be current and maintained for employees hired/transferred effective 10/30/01. Credentialed as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) upon hire preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days required. BLS - Existing Ultrasonography Technologists as of 11/10/2020 will have until 8/31/2021 to obtain their BLS. For 10823 - CHOB Perinatal Clinic - 5 years of experience in Obstetrics Ultrasound preferred. For 10823 - CHOB Perinatal Clinic - Certification in nuchal translucency from the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR) or the Fetal Medicine Foundation required. For 10823 - CHOB Perinatal Clinic - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification specifically for OB/GYN. For 10872 - CHOB Women’s Health Clinic - Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred. Niagara Street location. Candidate must successfully complete a fluency assessment.
Experience
Other information:
2 years of experience in a clinical setting, vascular experience in upper and lower extremities preferred. 1 year of Ultrasonography Technology or clinical rotation in hospital setting preferred.
