Wage Range: $28.96 - $43.00 per hour. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation, such as shift differentials and premiums may be available for this role. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, applicable education and internal equity.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of 5 year’s experience in construction related field or trade. Experience in the use of construction specific power tools and a variety of equipment. Knowledge and understanding of Building codes and ASHRAE standards. Knowledgeable experience working in a healthcare environment following regulatory requirements is a plus.
Special Equipment, Skills Or Other Requirements
Ability to operate a variety of wood working equipment, hand and power tools. Proficient carpentry skills. Ability to perform basic welding and cutting tasks. Ability to hang and finish drywall. Basic knowledge of electricity, circuits, and electrical safety a must. Basic knowledge of heating and ventilation equipment, including boilers, pumps and ventilation equipment. Good communication and interpersonal skills a must.

Essential Functions
- Installs and repairs doors, door frames and hardware items.
- Inspects and repairs furniture, cabinets, countertops, shelving and casework.
- Constructs cabinets and casework.
- Cuts and applies laminates to cabinets, counters, tables and shelving.
- Performs carpentry work orders and repair.
- Assists contractors with construction projects.
- Performs minor alterations and renovations such as paneling, wall partitions and moving doorways.
- Repairs drywall windows, flooring and ceilings.
- Ensures timely completion of carpentry work orders and repairs. Uses proper PPE as required and performs all duties in a safe manner.
- Estimates quantities and procures materials and parts required to perform work.
- Inspects mechanical equipment and repairs as necessary.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and systems; completes required documentation.
- Performs work orders for repair and replacement of mechanical equipment.
- Observes recorders, meters and gauges on mechanical equipment, and records on logs and forms as requested.
- Responds to hospital emergencies, such as fire drills, internal disasters, snow storms, etc.
- Provides weekend on-call emergency service for hospital.
- Maintains professional growth and development by attending training schools, seminars, workshops, etc. Attends all in-services and performs required annual training offered by the department.
- Performs duties in a cheerful, courteous and professional manner promoting the best possible service for customer/patient.
