We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Specialist 2 at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, Oregon!

About The Job – Your Role

Your primary purpose as the Supply Specialist 2 is to oversee and coordinate warehouse daily supply and inventory control functions at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, security, shipment, inventory, and recordkeeping for a wide variety of property, equipment (excluding automotive and heavy equipment), food, forms, and supplies. You will prepare, process, and maintain documents for requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, stocking, issuing, and delivering goods within the facility's operational guidelines.

Working within a correctional environment, your responsibilities include the careful management of supplies and equipment with a strong focus on security and compliance with facility policies and procedures. You will receive supplies and equipment requests, review them for completeness, and verify the authority of the person or agency placing the order. You will procure a wide variety of supplies, food, forms, materials, and equipment within pre-established monetary limits or delegated purchasing authority. This may involve using a state credit card, requisition and purchase order processes, statewide contracts, or informal bidding processes.

Your role will also involve overseeing the security of inventory and ensuring that all goods and supplies are stored, accounted for, and distributed in compliance with facility regulations. You will work closely with security personnel and other facility staff to ensure that inventory management procedures meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

In addition, you will direct adults in custody (AIC) workers in their tasks, ensuring they follow strict rules, policies, procedures, and security guidelines while working in the warehouse. You will be responsible for instructing and training AIC workers on proper work techniques, safe handling of materials, and the correct use of tools and equipment, all while maintaining a secure and efficient work environment.

Your responsibilities will also include coordinating with facility leadership and staff to anticipate supply needs, resolve issues related to inventory, and ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods in accordance with correctional policies and procedures. You will also be involved in regular inventory audits and stock assessments to maintain accurate levels and prevent discrepancies.

This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.

Minimum Qualifications

Three (3) years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included purchasing a variety of supplies, equipment or materials, maintaining inventory records, and shipping and receiving materials and equipment

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position located at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility (CCCF) in Wilsonville, Oregon. Work requires physical ability to perform heavy lifting for short duration on daily basis, to assist and/or observe the loading and off-loading of supply shipments during inclement weather conditions, to work in -20-degree storage unit. Operation of equipment unique to warehouse operations (forklifts, reaches, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.), and subjected to hazards associated in accomplishment of assigned duties at the CCCF Warehouses including control and custody of adults in custody. Security regulations require skills and knowledge of daily custody and supervision of adults in custody. Must maintain a general knowledge of security procedures and guidelines

Requirements For Employment

The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
