Salary Range for this position is $51,588 to 66,036 annually.

Overview

South Seattle College's Georgetown campus is seeking a Program Manager who will provide critical administrative tasks to support the colleges capacity to meet the needs of South Seattle College's Apprenticeship programs. This position coordinates, manages and implements administrative functions of Georgetown's apprenticeship programs. The Apprenticeship Program Manager position collaborates with the Executive Dean, Associate Dean and other Georgetown staff to support South Seattle College's on and off-site apprenticeship programs. This position requires specialized knowledge of apprenticeship programs and how they are adapted in the context of college wide standards and processes. The Apprenticeship Program Manager reports to the Georgetown Associate Dean.

This position is full time, 40 hours a week. Regular schedule 8:00am-4:30pm daily. The Apprenticeship Program Manager position will be located onsite at South Seattle College Georgetown Campus. Hybrid modality coordinated with supervisor according to position and campus needs. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during peak times as directed by the Seattle Colleges policies.

What You Will Be Working On

Instructional Program Coordination

  • Collaborate with South Seattle College Apprenticeship partners to implement an instructional/quarterly calendar that meets the parameters for both partner programs and college requirements.
  • Work directly with apprenticeship program deans and coordinators to ensure timely and efficient course building and quarterly scheduling in the State Board Community and Technical Colleges system base known as ctcLink.
  • Review and process annual instructional contracts and agreements for South Seattle College apprenticeship programs.
  • Process quarterly faculty workload contracts based on payroll requirements and AFT (American Federation of Teachers) contract parameters.
  • Understand and maintain AFT contract parameters for all faculty-related processes.
  • Solve problems, in coordination with Georgetown staff, to resolve instructional needs.
  • Support other administrative functions of South Seattle College¿s Apprenticeship programs as needed.

Budget & Finance

  • Coordinate with Enrollment Manager and South Seattle College staff to accurately process apprenticeship quarterly invoices per program contracts and agreements.
  • Prepare South Seattle College Apprenticeship budget requests and expenditures for Executive Dean and Associate Dean.
  • Liaison between apprenticeship partners, district, business partners, Georgetown enrollment team, and Georgetown Executive Dean to interpret, communicate, and solve budget, contract, invoicing, and faculty workload issues.
  • Manage the process and payment of supplies, equipment, and needed repairs.
  • In coordination with Executive Dean, Associate Dean and other Georgetown staff, develop cost estimates, plans, and projections for future program needs; also, develop budget requests and grant or contract proposals for South Seattle College Apprenticeship programs.
  • Maintain records for all budgets and grants supporting South Seattle College Apprenticeship programs and operations.
  • Review South Seattle College Apprenticeship income/expense, statistical, and budget status reports and advise on financial status of programs and of problem areas.

Human Resources

  • In collaboration with Seattle College District HR, coordinate and complete the required administrative processes for new hires at Georgetown.
  • Work closely with Georgetown's North Seattle College Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship Program Manager to mutually support one another's job duties as needed during peak operating times and critical deadlines.
  • Participate in hiring committees for Georgetown positions.
  • Represent department at meetings/events both on and off campus as needed.
  • May supervise other classified positions and/or hourly staff.

What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)

  • Professional experience in a related field as office manager and/or coordinating multiple administrative responsibilities OR a bachelor¿s degree in a related field OR a combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds, such as racial, religious, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic, and those with physical and/or learning neurodivergent differences.
  • Experience providing administrative support for educational or workforce training programs.
  • Experience working cooperatively with multiple departments to accomplish objectives, to build and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships, leverage information, and achieve results.
  • Experience with budget planning, budget monitoring, and fiscal record keeping.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products to implement job duties including Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and other Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Demonstrated effective communicator who actively listens, clearly communicates, and treats others with respect.
  • Ability to analyze problems skillfully and use logic to determine solutions.
  • Ability to respond and act on challenges in a timely manner.
