Salary Range: $17.11 - $ 25.43
Other Compensation
- Night Differential - $2.25
- Evening Differential - $1.65
- Weekend Differential - $1.50

EVS Technician Job Responsibilities
- Cleans patient rooms, OR suites, Recovery area, offices and clinics, including but not limited to cleaning and disinfecting the bed, cleaning and disinfecting other furniture, counters, sinks, toilets and other fixtures.
- Replaces cubicle curtains and drapes in patient care areas.
- Cleans resilient and carpeted floors using a variety of equipment including dust mop, wet mop, buckets and wringers, vacuum cleaner, etc.
- Cleans walls, windows, furniture and a variety of equipment and fixtures throughout the facility.
- Picks up trash, soiled linen, PHI, and recyclable material from all areas and disposes appropriately.
- Unloads, sorts, inspects, and stocks laundered items.
- Distributes laundered items to patient care areas.
- Sets up conference rooms for meetings and cleans up at the end of business day.
- Keeps equipment and storage rooms in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
- Reads labels, determines appropriate chemical and dilution rates and applies various chemical and cleaning agents.
- Must have demonstrated ability to interact positively with Administration, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients and visitors.
- Must meet regular attendance standard and must stay at or below average sick leave utilization levels.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
The work of this position is performed inside, exposing the employee to indoor environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The employee may be exposed to dust, pollens, pollutants, fumes, communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common a health care environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; push, pull and reach; occasionally bend, sit, stoop and stretch. The employee will need full range of body motion, should have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and calculator. Normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports are required; specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
