Primary Purpose
Performs maintenance planning and parts management for Desert Star power plants. Manages work flows and schedules for the workgroups.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinates, schedules, and administers maintenance, inspections, and testing for power plant/solar/battery energy storage systems (BESS)/synchronous condensers, including Balance of Plant support systems/equipment, in accordance with applicable site and regulatory compliance procedures and requirements.
- Performs administrative tasks associated with supporting the maintenance department.
- Manages the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), to include work order generation, prioritization, assignment, confirmation review, and closeout.
Responsible for maintenance administration and recordkeeping.
- Provides peer-to-peer knowledge transfer related to maintenance scheduling.
- Reports issues/abnormal conditions to supervision/management.
- Reviews and assists in developing policies and procedures.
- Coordinates, monitors, and inspects contractor work for quality, safety, and completion.
- Assists other plant personnel as needed.
- Supports storeroom inventory activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supports parts and service procurement activities, including interfacing with vendors, suppliers, and Supply Management.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Location:
- Must reside in Arizona or Nevada.
- Must be able to report to the Desert Star Generation plant located at 701 Eldorado Valley Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005 within twenty-four (24) hours of company request, unless previously scheduled for time off.
- This position may also be required to travel to San Diego and other locations for various meetings, training, etc.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in power generating facilities, renewable energy generation facilities, or energy storage facilities and 2 years’ experience of maintenance scheduling in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Will be required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime, which includes extended days and callouts for emergency work.
- Must have the ability to absorb formal training and schooling.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to select and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to enter confined spaces; climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, walkways, and aerial lifts at elevations up to 100 feet or more; crawl through confined areas; lift a minimum of 20lbs in awkward positions and 50lbs from the floor to the waist; and work in adverse weather.
