Primary Purpose
Responsible for the overall administration of material in the Electric Generation warehouses for Desert Star Energy Center.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains appropriate stocking levels of inventory spare parts and consumables by generating cycle count report on a predetermined schedule, verifying counts, and updating and reconciling the Inventory Management System and communicates shortage/surplus materials to management.
- Receives/Issues material, including verifies material shipped, puts away material, maintains documentation, obtains accounting information, and updates inventory management system. Creates bin location, organizes material and warehouse for optimal space utilization.
- Operates warehouse and heavy-lift forklift, moves material within the warehouse, unloads and loads freight trucks, and moves material to various SDGE work locations.
- Assists Accounts Payable and plant personnel to resolve outstanding invoices in SAP.
- Assists with internal audits of inventory and SOX compliance.
- Coordinate packaging and shipping of materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Location:
- Must reside in Arizona or Nevada.
- Must be able to report to the Desert Star Energy Center located at 701 Eldorado Valley Dr., Boulder City, NV 89005.
- This position may also be required to travel to San Diego and other locations for various meetings, training, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience working in warehousing and operating a forklift.
- Must have the ability to absorb formal training and schooling.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must be able climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways; lift a minimum of 20lbs in awkward positions and 50lbs from the floor to the waist; and work in adverse weather.
- Must successfully complete forklift training and a qualification class.
- Must be able to work extended hours and callouts, including weekends and holidays.
This is a Union Represented position - Represented by Local IBEW 465.
