Duties

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring survey/program activities for multiple assignments and projects.
  • Gathering requirements and develop technical survey programs and procedures and specifications for multiple survey operations such as printing, mailout, clerical, check-in, data capture and/or coding operations.
  • Communicate with management, co-workers, and other internal and external customers and stakeholders performing work for the assigned programs and projects.

Qualifications

For the GS-11 Grade level

Specialized Experience:
For the GS-11, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-9 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: providing technical and operational support during program operations; planning, monitoring, and evaluating survey program activities; collaborating with stakeholders to ensure success of data collection programs; and gathering requirements, reviewing specifications, writing procedures, or managing documentation for various survey activities.

OR

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

For the GS-12 Grade level

Specialized Experience:
For the GS-12, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: providing technical and operational support during program operations; planning, monitoring, and evaluating multiple survey program activities; collaborating with stakeholders to ensure success of data collection programs; making recommendations for improvement of work operations; and leading the effort to gather requirements, review specifications, write procedures, or manage documentation for various survey activities.

Education cannot be substituted for experience at the GS-12 grade level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
