This position is a limited duration and is anticipated to last one year, though may be extended or decreased due to business need. The position has been approved for telework/hybrid with an assigned workplace at the facility closest to where the selected incumbent resides. However, travel, including overnight, will be required to all DOC facilities for in-person meetings, trainings, and workgroup sessions throughout the life cycle of the project. Internal candidates may be considered as a job rotation with their current manager's approval.
About The Job – Your Role
The Electronic Health Record (EHR) is an agency wide project encompassing all 12 institutions across the state. In this position, you will review the different options to change the infrastructure within all health, dental, and behavioral health services work areas across all 12 DOC facilities to successfully implement Electronic Health Records (EHR). You will determine best way to modify the physical space to meet user and program needs. You will work closely with the vendor’s implementation team and will be the key point person on the different options available to solve a business challenge surrounding infrastructure. This role will be completely familiar with the details of the system infrastructure needs, coordinating spatial changes with DOC Physical Plant staff for appropriate modifications. You will research and make purchasing recommendations on the most suitable equipment needs. In addition to the standard documentation, you will also compile internal documentation requesting changes and implementation of such. You will serve on workgroups and workflow groups to understand needs of end users and EHR system requirements.
This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills;
AND two years professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work.
OR
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.

Working Conditions
Working conditions may include overnight and weekend travel, contact with adults in custody (AICs) in the institutional setting, making presentations to outside groups. Position may require travel to all ODOC facilities and conferences/meetings as required.

The salary range listed above is for non-PERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect
an additional 6.95%.

Requirements For Employment
The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
