Position description and Summary
At The Cannabis Place Dispensary our unionized Budtenders are responsible for providing our clients with an extraordinary experience. Through meaningful interaction and knowledgeable answers, our Budtenders foster an environment that is compassionate, genuine, and respectful. Our Budtenders are an integral part of our team and are expected to contribute to help make their Dispensary climate one that encourages forward-thinking, embraces inclusion, and practices generosity of spirit. At The Cannabis Place our Budtenders also assist the Leadership Team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provides knowledge, expertise, guidance, and a personalized experience to each client by explaining the potential benefits and differences of the variety of legal Cannabis products we offer.
• Ensures client questions or concerns are resolved quickly and completely.
• Communicate any requests or unresolved concerns to leadership immediately.
• Accountable for accurately receiving, coordinating, and fulfilling client orders by utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) and inventory tracking systems in compliance with our company, local, and state policies.
• Adapts to varied sales volume and stays active by initiating continued learning activities, creating an engaging environment, and assisting in keeping the dispensary properly stocked, clean, tidy, and in operating order, while keeping a “Client first” acuity.
• Meets/exceeds day-to-day sales metrics by following the client experience tailored product suggestions process. This includes meeting individual and team-centric sales targets within the dispensary.
• Assist leadership staff in ensuring all procedures are being followed to reflect regulatory and compliance standards.
• Fosters a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect, while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis”.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Able to be able to secure a NJ Cannabis worker identification card from state regulators.
• Availability to work retail schedule that includes mornings, nights and weekends.
• Prior customer service experience in hospitality, restaurant, pharmacy, customer service, or retail environment.
• Must stay current and adhere to all policies and regulations of the state cannabis agency.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse and inclusive unionized team.
• Must successfully pass probation period.
Education
• High school diploma/GED required
• 2 year or 4 year college degree preferred
• Cannabis training/certification is a plus
Hours
• Flexible scheduling : Part-time to Full-time Scheduling Based on Availability
