ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
An employee in this classification is required to perform some or all of the following duties, however these do not include all of the tasks which the employee may be expected to perform: design and implement overall recruiting strategy; consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives; source candidates through online channels and social media; assist with screening applicants; assist hiring manager with interviewing as requested; attend job fairs and career events; develop and maintain professional relationships with college, university, and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants; stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods; analyze turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position. This position receives supervision from the Human Resource Manager/Designee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Skills
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Licensure:
- Valid Michigan Driver’s license
- Experience/Skills:
- Understanding of HR practices and labor legislation
- Experience conducting/coordinating interviews using various interview formats (e.g. phone, structured, group)
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, job boards, and resume databases (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience using a HR recruiting software
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Other:
- Must have access to transportation
- Must be willing to attend out of county activities/meetings
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends

While performing the duties of this job, the employee would expect light, regular physical demand, such as constant standing or walking; close attention, such as observation of gauges, timers, etc. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment refers to the elements of work surroundings which tend to be disagreeable or to make the work more difficult. These include, but are not limited to: dust, oil, fumes, water, heat, cold, vibrations, noise, dirt, etc.
