Source, interview, and recommend qualified candidates to fill permanent and temporary positions in a timely and cost-effective manner; assess candidate qualifications based on behavioral interviews, job requirements, and pre-employment testing results
Partner with Hiring Managers to understand departmental needs and proper qualifications of candidates; screen and provide a pipeline of quality candidates for selection
Ensure adherence to CBA policies and procedures relating to internal promotions and transfers
Record all recruitment and hiring activity in Applicant Tracking System for information retention and reports
Provide regular updates on position status to Hiring Managers, agencies, and job candidates; schedule interviews, conduct background checks, and extend verbal/written job offers
Perform additional duties and projects as directed by management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, Business Administration, or relevant major required
Minimum two (2) years recruiting experience to include sourcing, interviewing, and assessing job applicants required; experience recruiting temporary and seasonal positions highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral interviewing techniques and effective sourcing strategies
Must have experience working in a Human Resources department, experience working in a Union environment a plus
Ability to develop and cultivate effective working relationships with all levels of staff, Hiring Managers, and outside vendors i.e. Search Firms, and temporary agencies
Experience working with applicant tracking systems (i.e Taleo) highly preferred
Professional appearance and excellent oral/written communication skills a must to accurately and professionally communicate with management, applicants, and employees
Good critical thinking capabilities; ability to perform complex analysis and identify trends
Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle competing priorities
