DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for organizing daily or project-specific tasks for your team in accordance with established guidelines and deadlines, while consulting with the Facilities Operations Manager regarding any changes in procedures. You will ensure optimal staff utilization and supervise their performance, verifying quality, completeness, compliance with instructions, and overall site cleanliness. Responsibilities include managing leave schedules to ensure sufficient staffing levels, conducting performance evaluations, recommending disciplinary measures as necessary, addressing grievances, and enforcing the AFSCME contract. Additionally, you will oversee the departmental work order process, provide estimates for materials and labor, and prepare procurement lists for authorized projects. The supervisor will confirm that all required personnel, materials, and equipment are available for job sites and will collaborate with tenants and other trades on painting and wallpapering tasks. You will also provide training on safe work practices, ensuring the safety of your team and the proper maintenance of tools and equipment. Furthermore, you will maintain records related to personnel, time, projects, supplies, and equipment, and manage snow removal and deicing operations around the facility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- As an essential employee, you will be required to report for emergencies and office closings.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Painter (commonwealth title); or
- Five years of experience in the painting trade preparing, painting, coating, and finishing surfaces, including two years performing skilled painting work. or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years performing skilled painting work.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
