*IMAGING TECH II *

RADIOLOGY - DIAGNOSTIC UNIT

Northridge Hospital Medical Center

The *IMAGING TECH II* is responsible for the routine daily operation of the Radiology department. Functions and performs duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Director*. * Prospective candidate is responsible for upholding Dignity Health visions Values and guiding principles by communicating those values in a positive and professional manner. The IMAGING TECH II will be expected to perform routine MRI and diagnostic radiographic procedures which includes basic trauma and fluoroscopic procedures in surgery.

*Responsibilities*

  • Responsible for the routine daily operation of the CT scan department and General Radiology in the absence of the Coordinator.
  • Responsible for assisting departmental cross training CT and Radiology, when needed.
  • Active participation in daily departmental Quality Control and Process Improvement program.
  • Responsible for daily evaluation of equipment and reporting of repair and maintenance.
  • Responsible for assisting in maintenance of radiological services in accordance with standards established by the department, state, local and federal standards. This will include safety program within CT.
  • Responsible for participation in training and orientation in diagnostic, surgery, sub-specialties, ER, OP Imaging, RIS, PACS, and CT.
  • Responsible for compliance in license renewal, continuing education, orientation and re-orientation and the attainment of all TJC required annual education.
  • Responsible for participating in the up keep of the 1 year back up on Disc.
  • Responsible to collaborate with the radiologist as the director of care.
  • Responsible for keeping lead and/or management appraised of any incidents or concern involving service, personal or patients.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

*Qualifications*

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a hospital and radiology department required.
  • Must have satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA approved school or BS or AA degree in Radiological Technology in an AMA approved school.
  • Cross - training in CT
  • License issued by ARRT (national) CRT (state) and Fluoroscopy certification required
  • License in another Radiology modality: CT
  • AHA BLS card required.
  • LA City Fire Safety Card required within 90 days of hire.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.

*Pay Range*

$53.80 - $63.38 /hour
