Must be "A" list certified from IATSE local 720. Specific theatrical crafts/skill sets validated by IATSE local 720.
Applicant must present a valid OSHA 10 General Industry and/or OSHA 30 General Industry card.
Summary
Running a cue track for performances within the Bugsy’s Showroom and other special events/ shows in the theater. They must know how to operate and program a Behringer X32 Console and perform a daily general check of the Audio system within the Showroom. The Head of Audio must be able to multitask and adapt, watching the show and artists movements, with the ability to adjust cues as needed. This technician must be able to troubleshoot Audio issues that arise during a show, using clear communication to problem solve in a timely manner.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for audio playback of show audio files using existing system.
- Responsible for on stage A2 duties for show.
- Able to work with numerous cast members and crew to troubleshoot operational show issues and clearly communicate needs/expectations with others.
- Keep the technical package up to date.
- Train subordinates, providing each with the knowledge, development and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities.
- Reviews show schedule and works with the Showroom Technical Manager to schedule staff accordingly.
- Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the venue’s equipment and coordination of ordering supplies.
- Makes recommendations to improve the venue’s technical and production equipment.
- Lead show changes, installations, and modifications as needed.
- Coordinate all safety, OSHA and risk management initiatives.
- Works with Showroom Technical Manager on advancing performance dates, interpreting technical riders and arranging for equipment in order to fulfill contract and rider requirements.
- Supervises load-in, set-up, system checks, show performance, strike, and load out.
- .Maintains a very efficient Showroom operating structure as benchmarked by other showrooms in the industry and works close with Stage Manager and Technical Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Showroom Technical Manager.
Additional Duties/Job Dimensions
Regular attendance and conformance with company standards, which may be established by the Entertainment Department from time to time, is essential. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Willing to work 6 days a week on a long-term basis. Willing to take work calls for rehearsals and other specail events.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Degree in Technical Theater preferred. 8 years of experience in setup and operation of audio systems and equipment. 4 years of supervisory experience or relevant training preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. In depth knowledge of audio systems for entertainment venues. Must be able to learn new technology that is related to current venue operations. Must possess excellent skills in crew management, project management, time management and problem-solving skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must qualify for, obtain and maintain any necessary licenses.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to effectively write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to climb stairs and ladders, standing for long periods of time, requires substantial walking, bending, lifting at least 50lbs unassisted and working in a smoke-filled environment.
