UW Information Technology (UW-IT) is the central information technology organization for the University of Washington, responsible for strategic planning, oversight, and direction of the UW’s IT infrastructure, resources, and services. UW-IT provides critical technology support to all three campuses, UW Medicine, and research operations around the world, partnering with the UW community to enable innovation, learning, discovery, and service.

The Office Coordinator (Administrative Assistant 3 NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) will work collaboratively across UW-IT; manage all details of the Vice President of IT /CIO’s calendar as well as be a contact for the Office of the Vice President. A key function of this role will be representation of UW-IT to the University and external partners ensuring all values are reflected in all aspects of supporting the UW-IT organization. This role is instrumental in creating an inclusive environment, working collaboratively with the UW-IT Executive Assistants and other executive team members to streamline workflows, efficiencies and communications.

REQUIREMENTS:


Requires High School/GED AND four years of office or administrative support experience OR equivalent education/experience. Showcase investment in the UW mission, being recognized as a team player, and showing compassion to colleagues, peers, and external partners. Demonstrated experience with scheduling individual and group meetings, including with external partners. Demonstrated ability to use Office 365 (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Microsoft OneDrive. Ability to consistently apply sound professional judgment and critical thinking to address complex issues and solve problems. Highly organized, reliable, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community. Experience handling sensitive, confidential information, and urgent matters in a professional and timely manner.


DESIRED:


Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, handle multiple projects, problem solve and exercise judgment in a highly dynamic environment, under deadline pressure and changing priorities. Five or more years of documented experience managing calendars, events, meetings, including venue and catering. Familiarity with University of Washington policies, procedures, and systems.
