Compensation: Non-exempt, $19.38/HR-$29.62/HR

Job Summary
The Radiology Assistant provides a variety of administrative and patient care support functions to ensure effective operations of the imaging department. Provides a “Patient First” experience and supports a positive workplace by maintaining an upbeat and professional work environment while completing all assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner. May have the opportunity assist with scheduling imaging appointments as needed.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs administrative tasks for DI Leadership as necessary for department operations.
- Creates CDs of patient exams and prepares for patient pickup.
- Completes image requests from multiple outside facilities by electronically transferring or mailing out discs.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- Assists Radiologic Technologists with ER, Inpatient, Observation, and Outpatient exams including but not limited to pushing wheelchair and bed bound patients, lifting onto exam beds, assisting with dressing/undressing patients, and all other assigned duties necessary.
- Keeps imaging rooms clean and tidy between patients and ensures all supplies are stocked.
- Completes all annual competency and education requirements within established parameters and timeframes.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a patient care setting preferred.
Required Licenses, Certifications And/or Registrations
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or within 180 days of hire.
