Pay Rate: $18.27/Hr.
Job Summary: The Entertainment Department is looking for a Stage Technician to assist with supporting our shows and special events in the park including building, installation of sound, lights, scenic, props, costumes, tables, chairs and A-frames. Qualified applicants should have good technical aptitude, a strong commitment to safety and work well in high pressure situations. This position falls under our agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO, District Lodge No. 947 and would be subject to the terms of the contract. Multiple interviews required. Pay rate: $17.90 per hour.
Reports to: Technical Supervisors (direct), Senior Technical Supervisors, Entertainment Full-Time Supervisors
Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervised set up and strike of various shows and events including but not limited to audio, scenic, and theatrical lighting.
- Model the level of guest service that we expect of all employees.
- Maintain Wage and Hour Compliance guidelines.
- Assist will coverage in all areas of Entertainment, as needed.
- Available to work various shifts, including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays.
- Will be required to train on and operate large vehicles and heavy equipment
Qualifications
- Experience in Technical theater, live event production, film, sound mixing, Theatrical lighting, scenic or carpentry preferred but not required
- Must have hand and power tool experience.
- Strong troubleshooting background.
- 18 years or older, and have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Vehicle operating experience and possess a valid CA driver license
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a positive, can-do attitude
Physical Requirements
- Constantly standing, talking, climbing walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation, using hearing acuity, seeing near far, stooping, bending, kneeling.
- Working in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity and temperature change.
- Must be able to push pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
- All lifts over 51 lbs. require help from a coworker or mechanical device.
- Overtime of adults may be required from time to time to accommodate the business need.
- Working with noises above 89 decibels.
- Working at heights up to and exceeding 40’
