Job Summary:
Rotates, inventories, restocks and transports various supplies throughout the medical center. Assists in unloading of delivery trucks and shipping/receiving functions. Performs duties as assigned. Responds to telephone requests for supply and patient transportation.
Essential Responsibilities
- Stock, inventories, cleans and restocks par level locations and medical supply carts to designated levels. Prepares items for transfer between primary and secondary locations using picking tickets. Verified unit of issue. 2. Operates company vehicle in compliance with established procedures and the laws of the Motor Vehicle Code. 3. Transports medical supply carts between medical center departments and storeroom area. 4. Determines availability of stock; fills orders and delivers to medical center departments; may suggest substitute items. 5. Maintains and completes accurate inventory records of supply issues for clerical input into automated material Management Systems. 6. Assists with shipping and receiving activities, such as receiving and checking incoming deliveries, unloading delivery trucks and transporting merchandise to designated areas. Unpacks and stores incoming materials and prepares for delivery to users, stages deliveries to off-site locations. 7. Inventories supplies and equipment to maintain pre-established levels, prepares requisitions for items needed according to established procedures. Rotates materials and performs cycle counts. Maintains up-to-date labels for bin, shelf and other materials locations. 8. Assists with telephone and telephone requests for supplies. 9. Responds to stat requests for medical supplies and equipment as required. 10. Stores and rotates materials that require special handling (e.g. X-ray film). 11. Establishes and maintains courteous, cooperative relations when interacting with other personnel, health plan members, and the public. 12. Performs other related duties as required. 13. Promotes, ensures, and improves customer service to internal/external customers by demonstrating skills which are consistent with the organizations philosophy of providing extraordinary customer relations and quality service. 14.
Experience
Basic Qualifications:
- Must attach current CQA driver record information sheet, obtained within the last month. During the two year period immediately preceding the data of application, must have a driving record which is free of incidents involving the applicants negligence. Also free of citations with forfiet for bail for driving while under the influence of drugs or reckless driving. Driving record must not reflect more than two moving violations during the same two year period. License and Driving record will be verified.
- Experience with and knowledge of medical supplies inventory stocking practices, receiving functions, exchange cart and par level supply systems preferred.
- Two (2) years of health care storeroom experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift in excess of 60 lbs. and move in excess of 300 lbs. with material handling equipment.
