THE ROLE
This is a grant-funded position. Renewal of the position is subject/dependent upon continued funding. If the grant is not renewed, the incumbent can apply for other roles within StoryCorps.
This position is designated as a union position. As such, it is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in our Collective Bargaining Agreement with CWA Local 1180.

With a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), StoryCorps is developing tools for libraries across the country to support their communities in taking One Small Step using StoryCorps' stories, conversations, and activities to bridge connections across divides.
The Associate Manager, Library Partnerships will contribute to the development, promotion, and distribution of library programming toolkits that respond to the unique needs of libraries of varying sizes, budgets, and cultural environments. This person will design, convene and manage a year-long community of practice to provide a cohort of program-level library staff with the skills, confidence, and tools to engage in bridge-building activities at their libraries, cultivate collaboration among libraries, and serve as a peer learning community. With feedback from this cohort and other library advisors, the role will refine library toolkits and make materials available and accessible in StoryCorps’ online learning hub, and promote the materials via conferences, webinars, and the development of compelling narratives about the program.
The Associate Manager, Library Partnerships reports to the Director of Learning & Engagement and works collaboratively with StoryCorps colleagues across departments.

Working at the StoryCorps office is optional except in certain circumstances, such as in-person training, if your position requires some in-office presence, or if your manager needs an in-person individual or team meeting, COVID guidelines permitting. For those who prefer to work in the office, that option remains.
