Job Summary

The University of Michigan, Dearborn is seeking a qualified and passionate instructor to serve as a LEO I Lecturer to teach two courses: "Intro to Sports Management" and "Student Athlete Health and Wellbeing" for the upcoming Fall 2024 academic term. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality, engaging instruction to undergraduate students.

Courses & Schedule

Intro to Sports Management

Schedule: Tuesday/Thursday, 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM

Student Athlete Health and Wellbeing

Schedule: Friday, 11:00 AM - 1:45 PM

Responsibilities*

  • Develop and deliver course materials, including syllabi, lectures, and assessments.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide timely and meaningful feedback on student progress.
  • Maintain office hours for student consultations and support.
  • Stay current with advances in sports management and student athlete health and well-being.


Desired Qualifications*

  • A minimum of 2 years of prior teaching experience in a related field.
  • A Master's degree or higher in Sports Management, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
