The University of Michigan, Dearborn is seeking a qualified and passionate instructor to serve as a LEO I Lecturer to teach two courses: "Intro to Sports Management" and "Student Athlete Health and Wellbeing" for the upcoming Fall 2024 academic term. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality, engaging instruction to undergraduate students.

Responsibilities*
The University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn) is one of the three campuses of the University of Michigan. Faculty and students have the opportunity to collaborate across all three campuses in research and scholarly activity. UM-Dearborn is a comprehensive university offering high quality undergraduate, graduate, professional and continuing education to more than 8,000 students from southeastern Michigan. UM-Dearborn is located ten miles west of Detroit and thirty-five miles east of Ann Arbor on 200 suburban acres of the original Henry Ford Estate.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.

Responsibilities*
- Develop and deliver course materials, including syllabi, lectures, and assessments.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide timely and meaningful feedback on student progress.
- Maintain office hours for student consultations and support.
- Stay current with advances in sports management and student athlete health and well-being.
- A minimum of 2 years of prior teaching experience in a related field.
- A Master's degree or higher in Sports Management, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
