- 9-80 Work Schedule (This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).

The selected candidate will be a strategic HR & Labor Relation Site Manager to the Anniston, AL manufacturing facility located on the Anniston Army Depot and at an off-site warehouse.
Responsibilities To Anticipate For This Role
- Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of the client organizations and the business, in the interest of building effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, at all levels of the organization.
- Coach business leaders on HR policies and processes, including employee relations, performance management, staffing, compensation, affirmative action and EEO programs, organizational development, and employee learning and development.
- Execute and partner with the Labor Relations Solution Center to ensure alignment with proactive Labor Relations strategy.
- Leads the administration and advice for our GDLS-USW collective bargaining agreement, to include but not limited to grievances, mediation, arbitration, local negotiations and other local labor relations activities.
- Lead the support and coach management with respect to a wide variety of labor relations issues.
- Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with local union leadership in order to successfully resolve shop floor and contract administration issues.
- Coach business leaders on key organizational and management issues.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition solution center, with a strong focus on acquiring and retaining top talent and on building pipeline for future needs, including strategy for on-campus recruiting, technical colleges/trade schools, focused military recruitment initiatives and intern/ co-op programs.
- Use understanding of individual and organizational dynamics to facilitate talent movement into and throughout the organization.
- Develop a thoughtful, integrated approach to promote diversity and inclusion in talent attraction, development, and retention.
- Lead the HR function at Operational staff meetings and HR staff meetings, effectively communicating HR initiatives and proactively reminding of existing programs.
- Conduct salary analysis and implement for new hires, merit, promotions, equity adjustments and other salary transactions.
- Partner with business leaders and HR Solution Centers to assess impact of current total rewards offerings to ensure competitive attraction and retention of top talent while leveraging metrics for key decision-making.
- Interpret policies and procedures and provide guidance in a consistent manner to managers, employees, and HR business partners.
- Facilitate the resolution of complex employee concerns, including discipline when appropriate. Counsel management on corrective actions ensuring consistency and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Interact closely/positively with other HR Solution Centers, Markets and Business Partners to achieve functional goals and objectives in a team environment
- Report and analyze a variety of HR Metrics.
Qualifications Sought
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related curriculum required. Master's degree and/or HRCI certification (PHR/SPHR) is a plus.
- Ten (10) or more years of HR experience or relevant business experience and three (3) years as a people leader is preferred.
- Must demonstrate high level of leadership capability and a champion of diversity and inclusion in the workplace
- Must effectively demonstrate the ability to work at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to effectively balance the role of employee advocate and management advisor.
- Experience working in a unionized environment and administering a collective bargaining agreement is a plus.
- Must have experience in business negotiations.
