Job Summary

The School of Social Work seeks instructors to teach graduate courses, for the Fall 24 Term, in the Masters of Social Work program. These courses concentrate in the social work practice methods: interpersonal practice, management of human services, community organizing or social policy and evaluation and the social work practice areas of aging, children & youth, community and social systems, health or mental health. Instructors are appointed at 25% effort for the term for teaching a 3-credit course.

Required Qualifications*

The selected candidate must have an MSW degree plus two years post-master's degree experience. Candidates with prior teaching and positive teaching evaluations are highly desired.

Work Schedule

For a 3-credit graduate course, usually 3-hours/week direct classroom plus at least 1-hour/week of office hours and 6-hours/week off-site for class preparation and grading

Terms and conditions of employment for this position are subject to terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers' employee organization (LEO) AFT/MFT and SRP Local 6244 AFL-CIO.
