Housing Works fights for funding and legislation to ensure that all people living with HIV/AIDS have access to quality housing, healthcare, HIV prevention, and treatment, among other lifesaving services.

Benefits

This position is included in a bargaining unit of Housing Works’ New York City employees represented by a labor union known as the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (“RWDSU”). Accordingly, the RWDSU has the exclusive right to bargain over the terms and conditions of employment related to this position and this position may become covered by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement (a “CBA”) between Housing Works and the RWDSU

Compensation Range: $24/hr - $26/hr commensurate with experience

Overview

In collaboration between Housing Works Inc. and the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ), the Emergency and Transitional Housing (ETH) Program will provide individuals involved in the criminal legal system experiencing housing insecurity, or chronic homelessness, with transitional housing placement and reentry support services with the goal of providing assistance with more permanent housing solutions. This housing program operates utilizing hotels across NYC boroughs and offers medical, behavior health, reentry support services, connection to additional health and wellness services and housing placement assistance to residents enrolled to promote positive reintegration to the five borough communities, reduce recidivism and build stronger, safer communities. Reporting to the Justice Initiatives Data Specialist, the Quality Associate will be primarily responsible for assisting with the implementation of quality assurance standards, quality improvement projects and compliance functions within the MOCJ ETH Program.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Housing Works proprietary Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to generate quality assurance audit reports.
  • Complete weekly chart reviews of the MOCJ ETH Program participants; amount may vary based on program enrollment and program needs.
  • Ensure all information documented in the client charts (assessments, attachments, progress notes, service plans, etc.) meet the Quality Assurance Standards developed for the program.
  • Coordinate with team members as needed to make corrections, or revisions, for missing information or to improve quality of program documentation.
  • Assist with monitoring program outcomes to ensure program targets are met in accordance to the contract.
  • Utilize results of quality assurance audits to inform quality improvement projects.
  • Co-develop and participate in program quality improvement projects.
  • Report all findings of quality assurance audits and progress of quality improvement projects to direct supervisor and senior leadership.
  • Assist with ensuring weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are reviewed thoroughly and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Co-develop and submit monthly data dashboards that monitor program outcomes and performance metrics.
  • Develop and present data presentations using Excel, PowerPoint and other data visualization tools.
  • Participate in agency and program meetings that may be held on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
  • Act as a representative for the MOCJ ETH Program on Quality Initiatives and Compliance.
  • Participate in supervisions with direct supervisor.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Promotes Housing Works core values in all day-to-day activities.
  • Works collaboratively with other team members within the Justice Initiatives Department and cross-agency.
  • Participate in agency advocacy events in accordance to department and agency requirements.

Other functions that may be required with this position include:

  • Ability to adapt and successfully uphold job functions in a full remote workforce or hybrid in-person remote workforce environment.
