Duties

  • Performs clerical and procedural duties such as receives visitors and phone calls, typing and transcribing duties from staff meetings and/or conference calls for distribution, maintain Chief and Deputy's calendars and schedules appointments.
  • Serves as a Lead Timekeeper and maintains and supports the time and attendance reporting for the Payroll Operations Division (POD.)
  • Maintains filing materials, office filing systems, and purchases office supplies which also includes request repairs on office equipment and printing services for POD.
  • Prepares, reviews and/or assembles a wide variety of internal and external correspondence, reports, and training material for proper format, conformance with procedural instructions, grammar, and typographical accuracy.
  • With assistance, processes all POD personnel action requests, performance appraisals, awards, disciplinary actions and their associated personnel actions.
  • Makes travel arrangements for POD, including preparing travel authorizations, making airline/hotel reservations, and preparing travel reimbursements; Arranges large conferences and teleconferences for training or other assemblies.

Qualifications

At the GS-06 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to preparing and reviewing travel vouchers and time and attendance records for a small number of employees or a small office; general purchasing services and supplies for a small office; maintaining calendars for meetings and other events; basic email and memorandum composition from rough draft; and experience setting up and maintaining official office files.

At the GS-07 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to preparing and reviewing travel vouchers and time and attendance records for multiple offices or a large number of employees; purchasing services and supplies for multiple offices or a large division; maintaining calendars for meetings and other events; composition of complex correspondence such as executive memorandums; setting up and maintaining official office files; and experience applying organizational detail related to administrative support duties to complete assignments.

Telework Suitability:

The duties of this position are suitable for occasional telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval and if they meet the eligibility criterion in the 2010 Telework Act.

The selectee must physically report to the duty station, Lakewood, Colorado. This is not a 100% remote position.

Stipulations Of Employment:
