Job Description
This position is responsible for meeting the educational needs of professionals and paraprofessionals who provide direct patient care and/or are involved in patient related activities to enhance health care delivery in the perioperative areas (preop holding area, OR, PACU, ASU, PAT, CSPD GI lab, Urology). The position serves a dual role, as the incumbent functions as an educator. The Perioperative Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for managing and guiding the didactic and clinical orientation of newly hired staff into the Perioperative (pre-op holding area, OR, PACU, ASU, PAT, CSPD GI lab, Urology) area. It may be necessary to utilize other educational support within highly specialized areas.

Minimum Or Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in any Health Care related field or Education required. 2 years clinical experience in area of specialty (perioperative services) within the past 5 years required. Registered Nurse upon hire regulatory required. Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
