Job Description

Are you interested in working behind the scenes in the live event industry? We are accepting applications for part-time stagehands with adaptable skills and strong work ethics for theatre, concerts, tradeshows, and corporate events.


Position: Stagehand

Location: Various venues around Northeast Florida

Employment Type: Part-Time / On-Call

Pay: Competitive hourly rates & benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of stages, lighting, sound, and video equipment for concerts, theater productions, corporate events, and other live performances.
  • Collaborate with other crew members to ensure smooth and efficient event operations.
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Operate various hand and power tools related to stagecraft.
  • Load and unload trucks with event equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical issues during events.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a stagehand is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform strenuous tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Certification in safety training (e.g., OSHA) is a plus.


Job Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to other areas of Northeast Florida.
  • Must be willing to work flexible and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. NO SET WEEKLY SCHEDULE.
  • Must be willing to work under varying weather & environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to interpret and follow safety rules and procedures.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
