Financial Literacy Video Instructor

We are seeking engaging and dynamic justice-impacted On Screen Talent to deliver financial literacy content for our video educational program. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to present complex financial concepts in an accessible and relatable manner. Previous experience in on-camera presentation is preferred. If you are enthusiastic about empowering individuals and families impacted by the carceral system to achieve financial literacy and independence, we encourage you to apply.

This financial literacy curriculum will be distributed for free to nonprofit reentry organizations as well as on the tablets for those currently incarcerated. It's a paying gig exclusively for justice-impacted humans to be the credible messengers doing both presentation of the curriculum and telling what we are calling their "money stories." A money story can have a range of focuses - anything from opening a credit card, to dealing with LFOs, to experiencing homelessness, to paying for family expenses, etc.

The pay is $300 per module, with each module being an approximately 15-30 minute video. We're producing about 30 videos and the goal is to have each justice-impacted individual film more than one module. As a team, we are thrilled that this pay rate is significantly higher than the SAG-AFTRA requirement of $241 per shoot day, as offering a living wage to justice-impacted individuals is one of our core beliefs. Oct 4-6 (Fri-Sun) are currently identified as the dates to do the first shoot in the greater Seattle area, though that is subject to change based on availability of the chosen talent.
