REPORTS TO: Associate Director, Media Services
Principal Responsibilities
- Assists In the organization and coordination of Media Services.
- Coordinates the daily intake and tracking of AV service requests and events using ticket tracking and event scheduling systems.
- Participates in the planning of the acquisition of Media equipment; including research of available products/services.
- Responsible for the monitoring, scheduling and performance of maintenance of Media Services equipment.
- Assists with departmental budgeting and bid specifications.
- Operates digital equipment for use in the development of Media Services productions.
- Coordinates the classroom support of Media Services equipment.
- Coordinates and participates in Media Services original productions.
- Coordinates and participates in video conferencing.
- Assists in documenting procedures and workflows related to audiovisual technology.
- Responsible for the supervision of support staff and provides department training.
- Performs other duties as assigned that are appropriate to the position.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience *
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in media services, audiovisual support, or IT operations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to deal with a variety of public events and clients
- Knowledge of video conferencing, teleconferencing, projection and audio equipment and other media services utilized in the classroom
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in repair of media equipment
- Ability to transport video cart with weights of 25-30 pounds on a routine basis
- An Associate degree is equivalent to 18 months of work experience; a Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to four years; and a Master’s degree is equivalent to 10 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud software
- Digital still and video camera operation, video production and post production skills
- Experience with Equipment Booking or Event Management software
Supplemental Information
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 35 hours per week
RETIREMENT: Pension Eligible
