Job Title: Security Installation Technician
Status: Full-time-must be willing to join IBEW
Total Compensation Package: $58.31 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining security systems including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and related hardware/software. This role requires strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure security systems including surveillance cameras, alarm systems, access control, and intercoms.
- Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, fiber, etc.).
- Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Provide training and support to clients on system operation.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and inventory.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes.
- Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades as needed.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification, apprenticeship or associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in security system installation or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electronic security systems and low-voltage wiring.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in installation and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Acceptance in the IBEW union
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with brands such as Genetec, Axis, Hanwha, HID, Mercury.
- Knowledge of networking and IP-based systems.
- MS Office applications, specifically Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Familiarity with IT terminology (software, hardware, equipment/supplies, networks, telephony, etc.)
