The Licensed Practical Nurse’s (LPN) primary responsibilities are to provide respectful, comprehensive, and person-centered direct care services to individuals in the residential homes provided by Minnesota State Operated Community Services (MSOCS).
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Takes temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure readings.
- Administers and records prescribed medication.
- Keeps clinical charts and reports on the physical and emotional state of clients.
- Promotes and participates in rehabilitation activities.
- Maintains a clean and hazard-free environment.
- Promotes clients' personal hygiene.
- May regulate parental fluids and administer intramuscular injection.
- Administers emergency first aid.
- Orders supplies and equipment.
- Operate a motor vehicle and possess a current, valid driver’s license
- Current employees are not eligible for the hiring bonus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN
