Job Summary

Description Of Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate, calibrate, repair, test, troubleshoot, and modify sophisticated electrical or electrochemical, devices, assemblies, subassemblies, and systems.
- Handling, preparing, and testing hazardous commodities to include hypergolic fuels and oxidizers.
- Generate laboratory calibration and maintenance procedures.
- Log, record, and create equipment maintenance and repair records to ensure configuration management.
- Perform ancillary duties to include property control, maintaining parts stocks, and assisting other personnel when required.
Knowledge/Skills
- Must have strong electronic or chemical troubleshooting background.
- Knowledgeable in the use of TMDE ( Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment)
- Read and understand complex blueprints, wiring drawings, schematic diagrams, logic diagrams, technical manuals and specifications.
- Able to repair both digital and analog equipment to component level. Has moderate through-hole and surface soldering skills.
- Must be computer literate, capable of using computers to maintain and calibrate with a proficiency in personal computers to include Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat experience.
Work Environment: Work is performed both in a laboratory setting and outdoors at client sites.
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds continuously and unassisted
- Must be capable of climbing towers, stairs and working on ladders up to 24 feet with frequent exposure to inclement weather.
- Required to work at heights, in confined spaces and in hazardous environments.
Education/Experience
- Must have three years’ experience maintaining/troubleshooting state of the art electro chemical instrumentation/laboratory analysis equipment or equivalent maintenance expertise in a comparable technical field.
- Associate of Science (AS) in electronics or equivalent military training.
- Must have three years’ experience maintaining/troubleshooting state of the art electro chemical instrumentation/laboratory analysis equipment or equivalent maintenance expertise in a comparable technical field.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance which requires US citizenship
- Must have a valid state of FL issued driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain and maintain access to CCSFS, KSC, PAFB and client sites.
- Must be able to work extended hours and irregular work periods due to launch operations
