Position summary: Electric Dispatch is a 24/7 operation that is responsible for managing the safe dispatching and resource routing of Distribution Troubleshooters and Distribution Line Technicians (DLTs). The Electric Dispatch Supervisor leads a team responsible for dispatching 911 stand-by requests from public agencies, Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings outages
, compliance inspections on distribution equipment, and meeting customer appointment requests.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
- Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $118,000.00
- Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $153,000.00
- Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $188,000.00
Responsibilities:
- Supports department goals and objectives, and evaluation of safety performance for the Electric Dispatch organization.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA and PG&E safety regulations.
- Extracts, collects, and formats data to populate reports, selecting from various reports and data options and presents recommendations.
- Tracks metrics that provide data for process measurement and risk assessment.
- Analyzes and improves existing business processes within the department to meet new goals and objectives.
- Communicates (oral and written) with peers and stakeholders. information or exchanging data.
- Ensures that all mandatory training is current and properly documented, and employees are competent to perform their job.
- Establishes dispatch shift schedules for optimal staffing.
- Review and approves timecards.
- Supervises 3 - 20 direct report dispatchers.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook software: including, but not limited to: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and OneNote.
This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School or GED
- 4 years of related experience with either 2 or more years of experience in electric operations (or an equivalent environment) or 2 or more years of supervisory experience in any environment.
