Position Duties & Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Specialist position is responsible for shipping, receiving, delivery and tool inventory including tracking, maintenance and repair. In addition, they will:
- Assist the Warehouse manager with requests, coordinating material orders and making deliveries.
- Review orders coming in and out for accuracy. Ensures timely delivery of equipment and material. Assists with loading and unloading trucks. Operates a forklift truck.
- Assess tool inventory on an ongoing basis for items which need to be fixed, repaired, or replaced. Track tools and enter the data into the computer software program, so it is current and easy to find.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and implement Inventory Control Procedures to minimize loss and maximize accuracy in stock levels.
- Assist Warehouse Manager in analyzing warehouse operations and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes to increase productivity.
- Responsible for the security of the building and inventory. Maintains a safe environment for all customers and employees. Responsible for general maintenance, inside and outside the facility. Must report any safety incident that occurs or is witnessed to the supervisor.
