The Opportunity â Senior Technical Program Manager, Payables (Remote - USA / CANADA)

At its core, Wrapbook is a Payroll company that provides a deeply important service to the entertainment industry â and the majority of time people spend in it is creating and managing Payables (e.g. Timecards and Allowances). The Payables group is dedicated to coordinating the chaos of paying and managing productions for our diverse range of customers, from independent production companies to major studios. By focusing on precise, fast, and compliant solutions, we drive growth as we unlock new segments.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead and manage programs focused on helping Wrapbook breaking into the FTV (Film and TV) segment. Youâll align a diverse group of stakeholders on our plan and be hands-on in establishing a program for onboarding and configuring agreements with our Labour Relations team. Additionally, you'll help identify the requirements to hand this program off to non-technical stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Lead programs to help actualize our strategy for winning in the Film & TV segment.
- Relentlessly drive and build a deep understanding of our customers (internal and external!) to discover and creatively solve problems.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation to management, and make thoughtful tradeoffs.
- Partner closely and provide guidance for engineering and product for technical solutions and deliver detailed product requirements.
- Identify key technical dependencies and coordinate work across teams.
- Work closely with cross-functional leads to do what is right for our customers.
What You'll Have
- 4+ years of strong program management experience.
- A successful track record of leading large technically ambiguous programs.
- Ability to balance the business and customer needs versus technical constraints.
- Maturity, high judgment, ability to earn trust with those around you, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
- Comfort with high ambiguity and conducting investigations to help create clarity for the organization.
- Experience diving deep and become a subject matter expert in complex areas.
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly and advocate effectively for customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Extra Points If You Have
- Experience in financial services, payroll, accounting, or other technically complex industries, especially if they balance technology to provide a service.
