Job Description


Work on-call or relief assisting stage & lounge stage operations in audio, stage lighting/electrics, stage carpentry, video & stage properties


Qualifications


  • Must be a self-starter
  • 5+ years of experience in the industry
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to follow direction and complete tasks efficiently and within the time prescribed by supervisor.
  • Must be physically able to climb stairs, and carry and lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Have stage, lighting, audio and video skills, and knowledge of lounge and stage production.
  • Have a good attitude and work well with others. Good hygiene/grooming and practice good customer service.
  • Ability to work any hours particularly nights and weekends.
  • Available for work with an 8 hour notice.


Be a referent with IATSE Local 720 hiring hall.


Additional Information


Requires reading and math skill for plans and measurements. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. . Knowledge of stage direction & operations & production. Communicate with supervisor throughout the shift. Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity. Make decisions and take action based on previous experience & judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations. Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness. Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards. Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.


Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push equipment weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a regular basis. Ability to climb stairs and ladders (up to 50 feet) to perform duties for 5% of shift. Perform tasks requiring sitting, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and walking significant distances to a maximum of 1 mile per shift within the facility. A Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use computer keyboard and consoles .Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines. Ability to deal with a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgment
