The Shed is a new cultural institution of and for the 21st century. We produce and welcome innovative art and ideas, across all forms of creativity, to build a shared understanding of our rapidly changing world and a more equitable society. In our highly adaptable building on Manhattan’s west side, The Shed brings together established and emerging artists to create new work in fields ranging from pop to classical music, painting to digital media, theater to literature, and sculpture to dance. About the Position
The Full-Time Temporary Production Supervisor, Events and External Rentals will have strong technical aptitude as well as developed budget and scheduling skills, work well under short time constraints, and be able to pivot easily from one task or idea to another. The candidate should be experienced with all aspects of technical production and have an in-depth knowledge of NYC vendors and practices. Candidates should have broad experience working on all types of events including corporate meetings, galas, experiential marketing, fashion, broadcast, music, and product launches among others. Sensitivity to varying clients’ needs and patience amidst changing priorities will help immeasurably in this position. The Full-Time Temporary Production Supervisor, Events and External Rentals will report to the Production Manager, Events and Rentals and will work on all events and projects as assigned. This position will work closely with the greater Shed Production, Venue Sales, and Operations teams as well as clients, crews, outside production companies, designers, and vendors to oversee the day-to-day production process and logistics coordination. A flexible schedule is a requirement. Patience and a good-natured attitude will be essential.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a temporary, full-time position through June 2025. At times, this position will require you to be available for more than the 40-hour workweek, including some nights and weekends.
