This position supports the human resources function by serving as the first point of contact for the compensation department, coordinating department activities, and systematically implementing all decisions rendered by the Sr. Compensation Analysts & department leaders. This role supports the dept by overseeing the compensation inbox, as well as creating & editing job descriptions, job codes, pay grades, payroll forms, and other related responsibilities.
This position is on-site in Yakima, Washington. A hybrid schedule may be possible after onboarding/training, but this is NOT a remote position.

Who We’re Looking For:
- Someone who has proven experience in data reporting and analytics
- Someone who possesses intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Someone with strong organization, analytical, and communication skills
Position Highlights:
- $26.22-$32.12/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates

What You’ll Do:
- Manage the compensation department intake process and review compensation inbox emails
- Analyze situations, recommend adjustments, and elevate inquiries as needed
- Oversee the Job Description Software system (JDXpert) and coordinate job description updates
- Administer compensation-related information within the HRIS (UKG) system
- Update Compensation Dept. tools weekly (Pay Grade Lists, Placement Matrix, Offer Builder, etc.)
- Coordinate the Interim Assignment process and submit requests to payroll
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the Compensation Manual and processes
- Implement and communicate compensation-related revisions and changes
- Assist with acquiring market wage data and interpreting wage grade placement
- Draft and submit employee changes of status using a Personnel Change Form (PCF)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associates’ Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics
- High School Diploma or GED and two additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for an Associate’s Degree
- Two years of progressively responsible experience in a human resources role or an equivalent role in an administrative capacity is required
- Ability to support special projects from inception through completion.
- Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Skills in problem-solving, sound judgment, and conflict resolution.
