The following employment opportunity is a represented position (AFSCME). The City will establish a ranked eligibility list for this classification that will be in effect for a period of six (6) months but may be extended upon request of the Police Chief, up to twenty-four (24) months.

This position is open until filled.


This position requires working assignments covering 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, including weekends, and holidays.


This recruitment will utilize multiple steps to narrow down the applicant pool, including an oral board interview, Chief’s interview, background, and polygraph. Dates for these processes have not yet been set but the passing requirements are as follows:


Oral Board Interview - 70% passing score required (weight of 100%)

Chief’s Interview - Pass/Fail

Background - Pass/Fail

Polygraph - Pass/Fail


Up to the top five (5) candidates from the oral board interview will be invited to a Chief’s interview.


SALARY:

$7,254.00 - $8,818.00 per month; depending on experience
